In Actiondesk, after importing some raw data coming from a data source, you can reprocess that data. One of the most powerful ways to do that is to add a column which will be a calculation based on other columns.

Why add a calculated column

Adding a calculated column can help turn raw data into actionable and smart data, here are a few examples:
You can add a column that calculated the number of days between two dates
You could add a column that calculates a customer segment depending on some criteria
You could add a column that calculates the first name and last name of a customer

How to add a calculated column

Click on add a column
Give it a name
Enter an expression that will return a result. Here you can use all the Excel like functions available in Actiondesk (full list here) and use the name of your dataset's columns as variables.
